Description
The Hirschmann SPIDER-SL-24-04T1M29999TY9HHHH is an unmanaged industrial Fast Ethernet DIN rail switch from the SPIDER III family that uniquely combines Power over Ethernet Plus delivery with fibre backbone connectivity, making it a specialised solution for applications where both IP device powering and fibre network extension are required from a single compact switch. The five-port switch provides four 10/100BASE-TX RJ45 ports all configured as PoE+ PSE ports, capable of delivering a combined total of up to 120W to connected powered devices such as IP cameras, access points, VoIP phones, and industrial sensors, alongside one 100BASE-FX multimode fibre SC port for network backbone integration. Multimode fibre coverage extends to 5000m on 50/125µm cable with an 8dB link budget at 1310nm and 4000m on 62.5/125µm cable with an 11dB link budget at 1300nm. The wide power input via a 4-pin plug-in terminal block accepts 24/48V DC across a 12V to 57V DC range, with derating of PoE output below 12V to 18V, making it compatible with a broad range of industrial and railway power supply standards. Maximum total power consumption is 134.2W with full 120W PoE output engaged. The IP30 metal housing measures 37 x 115 x 130mm at 670g and is rated for DIN rail mounting. The MTBF is 1,447,374 hours under Telcordia methodology. Critically, the product carries EN50121-4 railway norm approval in addition to CE, FCC Class A, EN61131, and cUL 61010-1/61010-2-201, making it one of the few PoE-enabled SPIDER III switches with formal railway network qualification. IEC 60068-2-6 vibration and IEC 60068-2-27 shock compliance are included alongside the full IEC 61000-4 EMC immunity suite. A 60-month guarantee applies.
