Description
The Hirschmann BXS32-12TX-EECC-HV-2A is a managed industrial PoE+ switch from the BXS32 railway series, built for onboard deployment in trains and buses where devices such as IP cameras, passenger information displays, and access control panels must be both connected and powered over the same M12 cable infrastructure. The switch provides 12 ports in total — 4 x Gigabit Ethernet X-coded M12 ports, of which 3 support PoE, and 8 x Fast Ethernet D-coded M12 ports, all 8 supporting PoE — delivering up to 60W total PoE budget even at the full 70°C operating temperature, a significant capability for onboard systems running in thermally challenging environments. The high-voltage supply input of 72–110 VDC suits standard traction power systems used in heavy rail and metro vehicles. Running HiOS 2A Layer 2 advanced software, the BXS32-12TX-EECC-HV-2A supports TSN 802.1Qbv on interfaces 1/1–1/3, HIPER-Ring, MRP (IEC 62439-2), MSTP, Sub Ring Manager, and LACP redundancy. Industrial protocol coverage includes PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, IEC 61850, and Modbus TCP. Time synchronisation is provided via PTPv2 Boundary Clock, PTPv2 Transparent Clock, 802.1AS, and SNTP. The switch holds EN 50155, EN 45545 HL3, EN 50121-4, and NEMA TS2 transport certifications together with IEC 62443-4-2 Security Level 2 cyber security certification.
