Description
The Hirschmann SPIDER-SL-20-06T1S2S299SY9HHHH is an eight-port unmanaged industrial Fast Ethernet switch from the SPIDER III family, combining six auto-crossing, auto-negotiating, auto-polarity 10/100BASE-TX RJ45 copper ports with two 100BASE-FX single-mode fibre ports via SC connectors, making it the most capable model in the compact SPIDER III SL family for long-distance fibre topology design. Part number 942132013, both single-mode fibre ports support 9/125µm fibre distances up to 30km with a 16dB link budget at 1300nm, enabling engineers to create ring, redundant dual-homed, or cascaded network architectures spanning very large industrial sites, utility substations, railways, and campus networks without managed switch capabilities. Six copper ports serve local device connectivity with auto MDI/MDIX for plug-and-play operation, and store-and-forward switching maintains data integrity across all eight ports. Power is via a 3-pin terminal block accepting 12/24V DC at 9.6V to 32V DC with a maximum of 3.8W and 160mA at 24V DC. The operating temperature is 0°C to +60°C, and the MTBF is 1,162,135 hours under Telcordia methodology. The IP30 DIN rail plastic housing measures 45 x 110 x 88mm and weighs 230g. EMC immunity includes EN 61000-4-2 ESD at 4kV contact, EN 61000-4-3 at 10V/m, EN 61000-4-4 burst at 2kV power line, and EN 61000-4-5 surge at 2kV line-to-earth.
