The Hirschmann SPR20-8TX/1FM-EEC is an unmanaged Fast Ethernet DIN rail switch from the SPIDER III family, purpose-designed for industrial environments where a high copper port count combined with a multimode fiber uplink is needed without management complexity. Eight 10/100BASE-TX RJ45 ports with auto-crossing, auto-negotiation, and auto-polarity handle local device connections, while a single 100BASE-FX multimode fiber SC port extends network reach up to 5 km on 50/125 µm or up to 4 km on 62.5/125 µm cable — making it straightforward to bridge copper LANs with fiber backbone segments. The switch operates in store-and-forward mode and includes QoS port prioritization per IEEE 802.1D/p, ingress storm protection, and jumbo frames. Power is supplied via a redundant 12/24 V DC input (9.6 to 32 V DC) on a 6-pin terminal block, with a maximum draw of just 5.0 W, and a USB interface enables configuration access.
