XM 620/x01

XM 620/x01 – Dual M.2 PCIe SSD Carrier XMC Module by Concurrent Technologies

The Concurrent Technologies XM 620/x01 is an XMC mezzanine adapter designed to carry up to two M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD devices on any host board equipped with an XMC expansion site. Supporting x4 PCIe Gen 1, 2, and 3 per M.2 slot and compliant with ANSI/VITA 42.0, it is available in air-cooled N, E, and K-Series and conduction-cooled RC-Series variants, with extended temperature options down to -40°C and VITA 47 Class CC4 qualification for the rugged conduction-cooled build. Available from Recab, your Nordic partner for Concurrent Technologies embedded storage solutions.
Description
The Concurrent Technologies XM 620/x01 is a single-size XMC mezzanine card measuring 74 x 149mm, designed to add up to two M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD storage devices to any host board with an XMC expansion site. Each M.2 slot provides an independent x4 PCI Express interface with NVMe 1.3 compatibility, supporting PCIe Gen 1, 2, and 3 depending on the XMC connector type fitted — VITA 42 XMC connectors at Gen 2 or VITA 61 XMC 2.0 connectors at Gen 3. When used with a suitable software RAID driver, the two M.2 devices can be configured in RAID 0, 1, 5, or 10 for redundancy or performance. The XM 620/x01 is available across four build series to match the thermal and environmental requirements of the target deployment: N-Series for standard air-cooled operation from 0 to +55°C; E-Series for extended air-cooled operation from -25 to +70°C; K-Series for harsh air-cooled environments from -40 to +85°C with humidity sealant; and the rugged RC-Series for conduction-cooled applications, meeting VITA 47 Class CC4 from -40 to +85°C operating and VITA 47 Class C4 from -55 to +105°C non-operating, with conformal coating and operating altitude to 50,000 feet. Factory-fitted M.2 device options include no device, one device, or two devices — contact Concurrent Technologies sales for available memory capacities. The card complies with ANSI/VITA 42.0-2008, ships with retention screws and stiffener bars, and includes a front panel LED activity indicator. It is well suited to defence, aerospace, and industrial embedded computing platforms where high-capacity local NVMe storage is required in a compact mezzanine form factor. Available from Recab, your Nordic partner for Concurrent Technologies embedded storage solutions.
Features
  • Carries up to two M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD devices with independent x4 PCIe Gen 1, 2, or 3 per slot.
  • VITA 42 and VITA 61 XMC 2.0 connector options allow PCIe Gen 2 or Gen 3 operation depending on host requirements.
  • Software RAID 0, 1, 5, and 10 support enables storage redundancy or performance configurations across both M.2 devices.
  • Air-cooled N, E, and K-Series cover 0 to +55°C, -25 to +70°C, and -40 to +85°C operating ranges respectively.
  • The rugged RC-Series conduction-cooled variant meets VITA 47 Class CC4 and operates to 50,000 feet altitude.
  • ANSI/VITA 42.0-2008 compliance and supplied retention hardware ensure straightforward integration on standard XMC host boards.
