Description
The Hirschmann GRS2040-32TX/2SFP-2HV-2A is the maximum-density copper TX Full Gigabit configuration of the GREYHOUND 2000 series, providing network engineers with 32 Gigabit TX copper ports by fully populating all four access port groups with 8 TX Gigabit ports each, supplemented by 2 Gigabit SFP uplinks in Port Group 5 for a total capacity of 34 ports. This configuration steps up significantly from the GRS2030 Fast Ethernet equivalent by running all 32 copper access ports at full Gigabit speeds, making it the appropriate choice for large-scale industrial automation, high-throughput SCADA aggregation, and data-intensive manufacturing environments where 100 Mbps per port is insufficient. The fanless 19-inch rack chassis operates from -40°C to +70°C with dual power inputs of 60 to 250 VDC or 100 to 240 VAC supporting fully redundant power architectures. Hirschmann’s HiOS Level 2A software delivers QinQ VLAN tagging, DiffServ QoS, IGMP snooping, jumbo frames, PTPv2 precision timing, HIPER-Ring, MRP per IEC 62439-2, RSTP, MSTP, and LACP link aggregation for comprehensive network resilience. Cybersecurity compliance to IEC 62443-4-2 Security Level 2 encompasses 802.1X, RADIUS, TACACS+, DHCP snooping, dynamic ARP inspection, IP source guard, secure boot, and signed firmware.
