Description
The Hirschmann GRS2030-G0000-M0000 is a GREYHOUND 2000 series industrial managed Fast Ethernet switch built for network architects who require a balanced mix of SFP fibre and copper TX connectivity across large, densely-ported industrial Ethernet deployments. The switch supports up to 34 ports, with Port Group 1 and Group 3 each providing 8 SFP Fast Ethernet ports for fibre-optic segments, while Port Group 2 and Group 4 each offer 8 TX copper Fast Ethernet ports, all complemented by 2 Gigabit SFP uplinks in Port Group 5. This alternating SFP-TX architecture gives engineers maximum flexibility when designing network segments that span both copper and fibre cabling infrastructure. The fanless 19-inch rack chassis operates across -40°C to +70°C, making it dependable in outdoor cabinets, substations, and factory automation environments where temperature extremes are common. Hirschmann’s HiOS Level 2A software provides the GRS2030-G0000-M0000 with enterprise-grade layer 2 capabilities including QinQ VLAN tagging, DiffServ QoS, IGMP snooping, jumbo frames, and HIPER-Ring, MRP per IEC 62439-2, RSTP, MSTP, and link aggregation for network resilience. Cybersecurity compliance to IEC 62443-4-2 Security Level 2 is delivered through 802.1X, RADIUS, TACACS+, DHCP snooping, dynamic ARP inspection, and secure boot.
