Description
The Hirschmann GRS2030-G0000-E0000 is a GREYHOUND 2000 series industrial managed Fast Ethernet switch built for engineers designing all-fibre industrial network topologies that demand electrical isolation, long-distance segments, and EMC immunity across substations, production plants, and outdoor infrastructure. The switch configures Port Groups 1, 2, and 3 each with 8 SFP Fast Ethernet ports, delivering 24 fibre-capable connections, while Port Group 5 adds 2 Gigabit SFP uplinks for high-speed backbone integration, giving network designers a fully SFP-based architecture for environments where copper is unsuitable or impractical. The fanless design operates continuously across -40°C to +70°C and the 19-inch rack form factor integrates cleanly into industrial control cabinets and data rooms. Hirschmann’s HiOS Level 2A software provides the GRS2030-G0000-E0000 with an extensive layer 2 feature set encompassing QinQ VLAN tagging, DiffServ QoS, IGMP snooping, jumbo frames, and advanced redundancy through HIPER-Ring, MRP per IEC 62439-2, RSTP, MSTP, and link aggregation with LACP. Cybersecurity is addressed to IEC 62443-4-2 Security Level 2 through 802.1X, RADIUS, TACACS+, DHCP snooping, dynamic ARP inspection, IP source guard, and secure boot with signed firmware. IEC 61850-3 and IEEE 1613 substation approvals alongside NEMA TS2 transportation certification cover the broadest range of regulated industrial environments.
