Description
The Hirschmann GRS2030-G0000-G0000 represents the full-density all-SFP fibre configuration of the GREYHOUND 2000 series, delivering 32 SFP Fast Ethernet ports by populating all four Fast Ethernet port groups with 8 SFP ports each, alongside 2 Gigabit SFP uplinks in Port Group 5 for a total of 34 fibre-capable ports. This configuration is the optimal choice for network engineers designing large-scale industrial Ethernet backbones and access layers where EMC immunity, electrical isolation, and long cable runs are essential requirements, such as in high-voltage substations, outdoor process plants, mining, or rail infrastructure. The fanless 19-inch rack chassis operates reliably from -40°C to +70°C, with dual power supply inputs accepting 60 to 250 VDC or 100 to 240 VAC to provide redundant power path resilience. Hirschmann’s HiOS Level 2A software equips the GRS2030-G0000-G0000 with the full GREYHOUND 2000 feature set including QinQ VLAN tagging, DiffServ QoS, IGMP snooping, jumbo frames, OPC-UA server, and PTPv2 boundary and transparent clock synchronisation. Network redundancy is supported through HIPER-Ring, MRP per IEC 62439-2, RSTP, MSTP, and link aggregation with LACP, while cybersecurity meets IEC 62443-4-2 Security Level 2 through 802.1X, RADIUS, TACACS+, DHCP snooping, dynamic ARP inspection, secure boot, and signed firmware. IEC 61850-3, IEEE 1613 substation, and NEMA TS2 transportation approvals further validate its use in the most regulated industrial sectors.
