Description
The Hirschmann GRS2030-M0000-L0000 is a GREYHOUND 2000 series industrial managed Fast Ethernet switch designed for copper-centric industrial network environments requiring a high density of TX ports in a compact 19-inch rack form factor. The switch populates Port Groups 1, 2, and 3 with 8 TX Fast Ethernet ports each, delivering 24 copper Fast Ethernet connections alongside 2 Gigabit SFP uplinks from Port Group 5, for a combined total of up to 26 active ports. This all-copper Fast Ethernet configuration with Gigabit fibre uplinks is well-suited to industrial plants, manufacturing lines, and automation control rooms where the majority of field devices connect via copper cabling but high-speed backbone uplinks are needed for aggregation or server connectivity. The fanless chassis maintains full operation across -40°C to +70°C, and the GREYHOUND 2000 platform’s modular design philosophy supports future expansion as network requirements evolve. Hirschmann’s HiOS Level 2A software delivers comprehensive layer 2 switching features including QinQ VLAN tagging, DiffServ QoS, IGMP snooping, and jumbo frames, supported by HIPER-Ring, MRP per IEC 62439-2, RSTP, and MSTP for network redundancy. Security is rated to IEC 62443-4-2 Security Level 2 with 802.1X, RADIUS, TACACS+, dynamic ARP inspection, DHCP snooping, secure boot, and signed firmware. IEC 61850-3 and IEEE 1613 approvals cover substation deployments, while NEMA TS2 supports transportation infrastructure applications.
