LRS42-7TX/3SFP/1C – Gigabit PoE Lite Managed DIN Rail Industrial Switch by Hirschmann

The Hirschmann LRS42-7TX/3SFP/1C is the Gigabit PoE/PoE+ variant of the LRS40 series, combining full Gigabit TX access speeds with integrated power delivery for field devices in a single compact DIN rail chassis. The switch provides 7 10/100/1000BASE-TX Gigabit copper ports with PoE and PoE+ capability on up to 8 ports at a total power budget of 180W, enabling network engineers to power IP cameras, wireless access points, VoIP equipment, sensors, and IoT devices directly from the switch without separate power supplies. Three FE/GE SFP ports and one combo port supporting both 10/100/1000BASE-TX copper and 100/1000BASE-FX SFP simultaneously complete the port layout, providing maximum topology flexibility for mixed-media network segments. The upgrade from Fast Ethernet TX in the LRS32 to full Gigabit TX in the LRS42 makes this switch the appropriate choice for automation cabinets and infrastructure deployments where PoE device power is required alongside Gigabit per-port bandwidth. Hirschmann’s HiEOS Layer 2 software provides VLAN per 802.1Q, QoS port prioritisation, IGMP snooping, store-and-forward switching, RSTP per IEC 62439-1, MRP client, and ERPS and ERPS v2 ring redundancy. Management is accessible via HTTPS, SSHv2, SNMP v1/v2/v3, CLI, and HiDiscovery. The 68 x 135 x 118 mm housing operates from -40°C to +60°C with IP30 protection on a 48/54 VDC input, with CE, FCC, EN 61131, and cUL 61010-1 approvals.
