The Hirschmann BRS40-16TX-EEC is the extended temperature variant of the BOBCAT 16-port all-Gigabit managed switch, engineered for high-throughput industrial Ethernet networks that must operate reliably in extreme climate conditions. It delivers 16x 10/100/1000BASE-TX RJ45 all-Gigabit ports — each capable of full 1 Gbit/s operation — alongside an Extended Environmental Class rating of -40 to +70°C and a robust metal DIN Rail housing, making it suitable for deployment in outdoor enclosures, transportation infrastructure, Nordic and Arctic industrial facilities, and harsh process environments where the standard BRS40-16TX’s operating range would be exceeded. The combination of 16-port all-Gigabit density and wide temperature operation makes this Hirschmann switch well suited to bandwidth-intensive applications including machine vision, high-speed data acquisition, and IIoT edge processing nodes operating in demanding field conditions.
