BRS30-12TX-EEC

BRS30-12TX-EEC – Extended Temp Gigabit TSN Switch by Hirschmann

The Hirschmann BRS30-12TX-EEC is a fanless, DIN Rail-mounted managed industrial Ethernet switch from the BOBCAT series, offering the same 12-port Gigabit-uplink architecture as the BRS30-12TX with an Extended Environmental Class rating for operation from -40 to +70°C. Delivering TSN 802.1Qbv real-time networking, PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, and HIPER-Ring redundancy, it is built for high-availability industrial networks in harsh, outdoor, or cold-climate environments. Available from Recab, your Nordic partner for Hirschmann managed industrial switch solutions.
Description
The Hirschmann BRS30-12TX-EEC is the extended temperature variant of the BOBCAT BRS30-12TX managed industrial Ethernet switch, engineered for deployment in environments where standard temperature ratings are insufficient. Its Extended Environmental Class certification enables reliable operation from -40 to +70°C, making it the natural choice for outdoor industrial enclosures, transportation infrastructure, Nordic and Arctic industrial facilities, and harsh process environments where other managed switches would fail to operate within specification. The BRS30-12TX-EEC provides 12 ports — 8x 10/100BASE-TX RJ45, 4x 10/100/1000BASE-TX RJ45, and dual Gigabit TX uplinks — in a compact fanless DIN Rail housing, delivering both the port density and uplink bandwidth needed for modern industrial Ethernet aggregation. TSN 802.1Qbv on interfaces 1/1 to 1/3 ensures deterministic, time-sensitive communication for real-time industrial control applications. Industrial protocol support includes PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP, and IEC 61850, providing comprehensive compatibility with leading automation and control platforms. Redundancy is delivered through HIPER-Ring, MRP (IEC 62439-2) as both manager and client, RSTP, Link Aggregation with LACP, and Redundant Network Coupling. Security features include 802.1X, RADIUS, VLAN-based ACLs, Secure Boot, signed firmware, and DoS prevention, with USB-C local management and AutoConfiguration Adapter support for rapid, disruption-free commissioning and device replacement. Available from Recab, your Nordic partner for Hirschmann managed industrial switch solutions.
