The Hirschmann BRS20-20TX is a managed industrial Ethernet switch from the BOBCAT range, engineered for demanding real-time communication environments where deterministic network performance is essential. Providing 20 ports of 10/100BASE-TX connectivity via RJ45 on a compact DIN Rail-mounted, fanless housing, the BRS20-20TX is among the first managed switches to support Time-Sensitive Networking via TSN 802.1Qbv on its first three interfaces, making it an ideal solution for engineers specifying switches with TSN support for industrial automation. The switch operates from dual 12–24 VDC supplies and consumes just 15 W, while USB-C provides convenient local management and device replacement capability. Software features span a comprehensive set including IGMP Snooping, QoS prioritisation, VLAN (802.1Q), HIPER-Ring, Media Redundancy Protocol per IEC 62439-2, RSTP, and Link Aggregation with LACP.
