RSPM22-8TX-PoE – Extended Temp PoE+ RJ45 Expansion Module by Hirschmann

The Hirschmann RSPM22-8TX-PoE is a hardened extended temperature PoE+ Fast Ethernet media module from Hirschmann’s RSPM expansion series, uniquely combining 802.3AF/AT Power over Ethernet delivery across all eight RJ45 ports with the full extended environment credentials of the RSPM EEC family. Operating from -40 to +70°C with IEC 60068-2-2 dry heat validation at +85°C, and contributing to the host RSPE32 or RSPE37 switch’s total 120 W PoE budget, this module enables powered field devices — including IP cameras, wireless access points, industrial sensors, and VoIP terminals — to be connected and powered even in cold-climate, hazardous, substation, and transportation environments where standard PoE modules cannot reliably operate. The module carries ATEX II 3G Ex na IIC T4 Gc and ISA-12.12.01 Class 1 Div. 2 Group A-D hazardous location certifications, together with IEC 61850-3, IEEE 1613 substation approvals, and EN50121-4 and NEMA TS2 transportation certifications. Powered via the host switch with a base 4 W self-consumption, it adds no management complexity and installs directly into the media module bay of compatible RSPE32 and RSPE37 hosts. IEC 60068-2-6 vibration and IEC 60068-2-27 shock compliance, together with CE, FCC, RCM, EN 61131, UL61010, and EN 60950 approvals, confirm broad regulatory compliance for demanding applications.
