The Hirschmann RSP25-8TX/3SFP-EEC-3S is a hardened enhanced managed DIN rail switch from the Hirschmann RSP25 series, providing eleven switching ports with eight 10/100BASE-TX RJ45 copper ports and three SFP Fast Ethernet fibre uplink slots. Sharing the same extended feature set as the 2HV variant but powered by dual 24/36/48 VDC inputs (18–60 VDC range), it targets industrial automation and process control networks where standard low-voltage DC power is available but the full routing and enhanced redundancy capabilities of the EEC software tier are required. The operating temperature range of -40 to +70 degrees Celsius with dry heat test to +85 degrees Celsius per IEC 60068-2-2 places it well above the standard RSP25 temperature performance, making it appropriate for outdoor enclosures, demanding factory floors, and harsh industrial cabinet environments. Full wire-speed L3 routing includes OSPFv2, RIP v1/v2, VRRP with HiVRRP enhancements, static unicast routing with static route tracking, 1:1 NAT, proxy ARP, IGMP proxy multicast routing, ICMP filter, IP/UDP helper, and loopback interface support. Redundancy capabilities extend to PRP per IEC62439-3, HSR, Fast MRP, RSTP, MSTP, LACP, HIPER-Ring with link aggregation, Sub Ring Manager, and Redundant Network Coupling. Switching enhancements include QinQ, IP DiffServ ingress classification, MAC-based VLAN, protocol-based VLAN, and SFLOW. Security additions include dynamic ARP inspection, DHCP snooping, LDAP, MAC authentication bypass, multi-client authentication per port, time-based ACL, and RADIUS policy assignment.
