GRS2040-12TX/4SFP-2HV-2A – Full Gigabit Managed Industrial Rack Switch by Hirschmann

The Hirschmann GRS2040-12TX/4SFP-2HV-2A is a GREYHOUND 2000 series industrial managed Full Gigabit Ethernet switch designed for network engineers who need a compact Gigabit access layer with a balanced mix of copper TX and SFP fibre ports in a 19-inch rack form factor. Port Group 1 provides 4 TX and 4 SFP Gigabit ports for flexible mixed-media device connections, Port Group 3 adds 8 TX Gigabit copper ports for additional copper device density, and Port Group 5 delivers 2 Gigabit SFP uplinks for high-speed backbone integration, giving the switch a total of 18 active Gigabit ports. All access ports operate at full Gigabit speeds, distinguishing this GRS2040-series switch from the Fast Ethernet GRS2030 series and making it appropriate for bandwidth-intensive applications in process automation, energy, and intelligent transportation. The fanless chassis maintains full operation across -40°C to +70°C with dual power inputs accepting 60 to 250 VDC or 100 to 240 VAC. Running Hirschmann’s HiOS Level 2A software, the GRS2040-12TX/4SFP-2HV-2A delivers QinQ VLAN tagging, DiffServ QoS, IGMP snooping, jumbo frames, and network redundancy via HIPER-Ring, MRP per IEC 62439-2, RSTP, MSTP, and LACP link aggregation.
