Description
The Hirschmann BXP62-28TX-EECC-HV-2A is a managed industrial Ethernet switch from the BOBCAT eXtreme Performance series, offering the highest port density in the BXP62 family with 28 M12 X-coded ports for large-scale onboard railway network deployments. The port layout comprises 4 x 1/2.5/10 Gbit/s TX ports, 2 x 1/2.5/10 Gbit/s TX PoE++ ports, 2 x 10/100/1000 Mbit/s TX PoE++ ports, and 20 x 10/100/1000 Mbit/s TX PoE+ ports, delivering up to 120W total PoE budget across the PoE-capable ports. All connections use M12 X-coded Inner-Push Pull connectors per IEC 61076-2-010, well-suited to the vibration and shock environments encountered in rolling stock. A key differentiator of the BXP62-28TX-EECC-HV-2A is its support for High Availability Seamless Redundancy (HSR, IEC 62439-3) including HSR-PRP RedBox, which delivers zero-recovery-time redundancy for the most demanding railway communication architectures. Additional redundancy options include MRP (IEC 62439-2), MSTP, LACP link aggregation, Sub Ring Manager, and RSTP. The switch operates on 110 VDC (77–138 V range) and is certified to EN 50155, EN 50121-4, and EN 45545 HL3 for European railway rolling stock compliance. Industrial protocols supported include PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, and Modbus TCP.
