Description
The Hirschmann BXP62-20TX-EECC-HV-2A-BP is a managed industrial Ethernet switch from the BOBCAT eXtreme Performance series, identical in port configuration and software capability to the BXP62-20TX-EECC-HV-2A, but uniquely featuring a hardware bypass relay on four of its 1/2.5/10 Gbit/s M12 X-coded ports. This bypass relay ensures that the train’s critical network path remains physically connected and traffic continues to pass even in the event of a device reboot or power interruption, which is essential for safety-critical railway communication applications where network continuity cannot be compromised. The switch provides 20 M12 X-coded ports in total — 4 x 1/2.5/10 Gbit/s TX with bypass relay, 2 x 1/2.5/10 Gbit/s TX PoE++, 2 x 10/100/1000 Mbit/s TX PoE++, and 12 x 10/100/1000 Mbit/s TX PoE+ — with up to 120W total PoE budget for onboard end devices. Powered at 110 VDC and certified to EN 50155, EN 50121-4, and EN 45545 HL3, the BXP62-20TX-EECC-HV-2A-BP is fully compliant with European railway rolling stock requirements. HiOS 2A software delivers advanced Layer 2 redundancy via HIPER-Ring, MRP (IEC 62439-2), MSTP, LACP, and Sub Ring Manager, alongside industrial protocol support for PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, and Modbus TCP. Security includes 802.1X, DHCP Snooping, Dynamic ARP Inspection, TACACS+, LDAP, and signed firmware with secure boot.
