The Hirschmann BOBCAT BRS50-16TX/4SFP is a high-performance managed industrial DIN Rail switch providing 20 ports across 16 x 10/100/1000BASE-TX RJ45 copper ports and four SFP slots that support 100 Mbit/s, 1 Gbit/s, or 2.5 Gbit/s fiber transceivers — making it unique in the BOBCAT lineup for its 2.5 Gbit/s uplink capability, which delivers 2.5 times the bandwidth of standard Gigabit SFP slots without requiring any appliance change. Part number 942170069, this capability makes the BRS50-16TX/4SFP the right choice for engineers building future-proof industrial backbones that need to scale uplink bandwidth as network demands grow.
