Description
The Hirschmann BRS30-24TX-EEC provides the highest all-copper port density in the BOBCAT managed switch range combined with an Extended Environmental Class rating of -40 to +70°C and a robust metal housing, making it the ideal choice for network engineers deploying large-scale industrial Ethernet infrastructure in environments where standard temperature ratings are insufficient. The switch delivers 20x 10/100BASE-TX RJ45 access ports, 4x 10/100/1000BASE-TX RJ45 Gigabit ports, and dual Gigabit TX uplinks in a compact fanless DIN Rail form factor, providing the port density and uplink bandwidth needed for large machine clusters, production cells, or field cabinet aggregation in outdoor, transportation, and Nordic or Arctic industrial installations. TSN 802.1Qbv on interfaces 1/1 to 1/3 enables deterministic real-time Ethernet for time-sensitive control applications, while PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP, and IEC 61850 ensure full industrial automation protocol compatibility. Redundancy is provided by HIPER-Ring, MRP (IEC 62439-2) as both manager and client, RSTP, Link Aggregation with LACP, and Redundant Network Coupling. Security includes 802.1X, RADIUS, VLAN-based ACLs, Secure Boot, and signed firmware. USB-C local management enables efficient field commissioning and device replacement without network disruption.
