Description
The Hirschmann BRS30-20TX/4SFP-EEC is the extended temperature and metal housing variant of the BOBCAT BRS30-20TX/4SFP managed switch, combining 24-port density and four SFP Gigabit fibre uplink slots with an Extended Environmental Class operating range of -40 to +70°C. Built with a metal enclosure instead of the PC-ABS used in the standard variant, the BRS30-20TX/4SFP-EEC is specifically designed for industrial Ethernet deployments in outdoor cabinets, transportation infrastructure, Nordic and Arctic industrial sites, and any environment where thermal extremes and mechanical durability are primary design constraints. The switch provides 20x 10/100BASE-TX RJ45 ports and four SFP slots — supporting 100/1000 Mbit/s in single mode, long-haul single mode, or multimode fibre variants — giving network architects the fibre flexibility to adapt uplink reach to topology without hardware replacement. TSN 802.1Qbv on interfaces 1/1 to 1/3 enables deterministic real-time Ethernet for time-sensitive industrial control, while PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP, and IEC 61850 provide comprehensive automation protocol coverage. Redundancy features include HIPER-Ring, MRP (IEC 62439-2) as manager and client, RSTP, Link Aggregation with LACP, and Redundant Network Coupling.
