The SOM-5898 from Advantech is a COM Express Basic Module Type 6 designed for high-performance embedded computing applications requiring powerful processing capabilities and extensive connectivity options. Built on 7th Generation Intel Xeon E3 and Core i7/i5/i3 processors with Intel QM175 or CM238 PCH, this module delivers exceptional computing power with CPU options ranging from dual-core configurations at 25W TDP to quad-core processors with turbo frequencies up to 4.0 GHz. The module supports dual channel DDR4 2400 memory up to 32GB with ECC support on specific SKUs, ensuring data integrity for mission-critical applications. Display capabilities include three independent symmetrical displays supporting up to 4K resolution through VGA, dual-channel LVDS, and two DDI ports configurable to HDMI 1.4, DVI, or DisplayPort 1.2.
