SOM-5885 – Intel Core Ultra COM Express Module by Advantech

The Advantech SOM-5885 is a high-performance COM Express Basic Type 6 module designed for demanding embedded computing applications. Built on Intel Core Ultra processors from the Meteor Lake U/H family, this module delivers exceptional processing power with configurations ranging from 12 to 16 cores combining Performance, Efficient, and Low Power Efficient core architectures. The integrated Intel Xe LPG graphics engine provides up to 128 execution units capable of driving four simultaneous independent 4K displays through HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 2.1 HBR3, and LVDS/eDP interfaces, making it ideal for multi-display digital signage, medical imaging, and industrial visualization systems. Memory support includes dual-channel DDR5 at 5600MT/s with capacity up to 96GB via two SO-DIMM sockets, with optional IBECC support for enhanced data integrity in mission-critical applications. The SOM-5885 offers extensive connectivity options including 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet via Intel I226 controller, up to two USB4 ports, four USB 3.2 Gen2 ports, eight USB 2.0 ports, and configurable PCIe Gen4 lanes supporting various bifurcation options. Storage connectivity includes up to two SATA 3.0 ports. Security features encompass TPM 2.0 and vPro support on select SKUs. The module supports Advantech’s comprehensive software ecosystem including iManager for hardware monitoring and Wise-DeviceOn for remote device management. Operating within 0 to 60 degrees Celsius, the SOM-5885 serves applications in industrial automation, medical equipment, transportation systems, and AI edge computing.
