The Hirschmann SSR40-8TX-IP is an unmanaged full Gigabit Ethernet DIN rail switch from the SPIDER III product family, combining eight-port Gigabit copper switching with a built-in EtherNet/IP industrial profile — meeting the demands of automation engineers who work with Rockwell Automation, Allen-Bradley, or other CIP-based control systems and need transparent, plug-and-play Gigabit switch integration without managed switch complexity. All eight 10/100/1000BASE-T RJ45 ports with auto-crossing, auto-negotiation, and auto-polarity operate in store-and-forward mode, powered from 12/24 V DC (9.6 to 32 V DC) via a 3-pin terminal block, with a maximum draw of just 5.0 W. The compact 38 x 102 x 79 mm IP30 plastic DIN rail housing weighs 170 g — one of the smallest eight-port Gigabit switches in the SPIDER III range.
