The Hirschmann SSR40-5TX-IP is an unmanaged full Gigabit Ethernet DIN rail switch from the SPIDER III product family, differentiated from the standard SSR40-5TX by its built-in support for the EtherNet/IP industrial protocol — making it the ideal choice for automation engineers deploying Gigabit switching in systems governed by the Common Industrial Protocol (CIP), including Rockwell Automation-based PLC environments and other EtherNet/IP-compliant control networks. The five 10/100/1000BASE-T RJ45 ports with auto-crossing, auto-negotiation, and auto-polarity operate in store-and-forward switching mode, supplied from a 12/24 V DC input (9.6 to 32 V DC) via a 3-pin terminal block, with a maximum draw of just 4.0 W.
