The ACKSYS AirWan is a rugged industrial cellular router purpose-built for mobile and transportation applications where reliable, continuous data transmission across both 4G LTE cellular and WiFi networks must be maintained as vehicles and mobile equipment move between coverage zones. Combining 4G LTE Category 4 with worldwide band support for LTE-FDD, LTE-TDD, WCDMA, and GSM, dual-band WiFi 802.11n MIMO 2T2R at 2.4/5GHz, and multi-constellation GNSS covering GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, and BeiDou, it provides a complete connectivity and vehicle positioning solution in a single compact device without requiring additional hardware. The automatic switching capability between WiFi and 4G LTE ensures service continuity as vehicles transition between depot WiFi infrastructure and operational cellular coverage, making it particularly well suited for bus fleet management applications where multiple data streams including SAE, ticketing, passenger information systems, and CCTV must be pooled and routed through a single device. WiFi fast roaming achieves handover times under 30ms and the unit supports AP, client, repeater, and IEEE 802.11s mesh modes for flexible wireless network design. Security covers WPA3, WPA2, IEEE 802.1X RADIUS, Firewall, DoS protection, OpenVPN, GRE tunnels, SNMP V3, and a Wireless Intrusion Detection System for comprehensive protection of mobile network deployments. The Ethernet interface includes one Gigabit and one Fast Ethernet port with VLAN, DHCP, NAT routing, and VRRP IP redundancy support. Power input accepts 7V to 48V DC or PoE 802.3af with 9W typical consumption. The compact aluminium enclosure is rated IP40, operates from -20°C to 60°C, and carries E-mark ECE R10 automotive certification and EN 61373 railway shock and vibration compliance.
