The Teltonika Networks RUTX50 is a high-performance industrial 5G router supporting Sub-6GHz SA/NSA operation with downlink speeds up to 3.3Gbps and uplink speeds up to 900Mbps via 4×4 MIMO, alongside 4G LTE Cat 20 for backward compatibility. The router is designed for engineers and system integrators seeking reliable, high-throughput mobile connectivity for industrial IoT, transportation, smart infrastructure, and remote site management applications. Powered by a quad-core ARM Cortex A7 processor at 717MHz with 256MB RAM and 256MB flash running the RutOS OpenWrt-based Linux operating system, the RUTX50 provides a rich software environment with full SDK support and GPL customisation capability. Dual SIM slots with automatic switching based on signal strength, data limits, roaming status, and network availability are complemented by an optional consumer eSIM supporting up to seven profiles for maximum connectivity resilience. Wireless networking is provided by 802.11b/g/n/ac Wave 2 (Wi-Fi 5) supporting up to 867Mbps with MU-MIMO, wireless mesh (802.11s), fast roaming (802.11r), and up to 150 simultaneous client connections. Five RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet ports, GNSS with GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo, and QZSS support, and a USB 2.0 port for external storage or additional modem connectivity complete the physical interface set. The RUTX50 supports an extensive range of VPN technologies including OpenVPN, IPsec IKEv2, WireGuard, ZeroTier, Tailscale, DMVPN, and L2TP, as well as industrial protocols including MODBUS TCP/USB, OPC UA, DNP3, and DLMS/COSEM. Security features encompass firewall, DDOS prevention, VLAN, 802.1x, RADIUS authentication, and TPM 2.0. Remote management is available via the Teltonika RMS platform, SNMP, TR-069, and MQTT. The housing is aluminium with DIN rail, wall, and flat surface mounting options and an operating range of -40°C to 75°C.
