KBox A-151-AML/ADN – Fanless Embedded Box PC for Industrial Control by Kontron

The Kontron KBox A-151-AML/ADN is a fanless passive-cooled embedded box PC developed for industrial control, process optimisation, and IoT edge computing applications. Based on a 3.5-inch single board computer, it supports a range of processor options including Intel N97, Intel Core i3-N305, Intel Atom x7211RE, x7433RE, and x7835RE, with TDP spanning 6 to 15 W depending on the variant, enabling reliable fanless operation across a standard temperature range of 0 to 60 degrees Celsius or an extended range of -40 to 60 degrees Celsius. DDR5 memory up to 16 GB and M.2 Key-M SSD storage up to 2 TB cover system memory and storage requirements. Standard I/O includes dual DisplayPort with resolution up to 7680 x 4320 at 60 Hz, dual 2.5 GbE, two USB 3.2 Type-A, one USB 3.2 Type-C, one USB 2.0, and two RS-232 COM ports. The KBox A-151-AML/ADN is distinguished by its flexible I/O door expansion system, which allows configuration with optional modules for EtherCAT, dual CAN, additional GbE and DisplayPort, additional COM ports, 8-channel GPIO/DIO, or audio, without the need for custom hardware. Wi-Fi 6 and LTE/5G connectivity options are available via the M.2 Key-B and Key-E expansion slots. DIN rail and bookmount mounting options, CE, UL 61010, FCC, and UKCA certification, and compatibility with Kontron’s KontronOS, KontronGrid fleet management, and FabEagle Connect low-code integration toolset make the KBox A-151-AML/ADN a complete out-of-the-box industrial edge platform.
