Description
The ACKSYS AirBox is a compact industrial WiFi access point engineered for reliable, high-availability wireless connectivity in factory automation, logistics, IIoT, and Industry 4.0 deployments where both performance and security are critical. Available in two configurations, the AirBox/10 with a single 802.11n radio and the AirBox/12 with dual radios combining 802.11n and 802.11ac, it provides dual-band operation across 2.4GHz and 5GHz with MIMO 2T2R technology, reaching data rates up to 300Mbps on 802.11n and 866.6Mbps on 802.11ac, supporting up to 80 simultaneous client connections at 2Mbps in AP mode. The unit operates as an access point, client, repeater, or IEEE 802.11s mesh node, with a high-performance fast roaming algorithm delivering handover times under 30ms for seamless wireless connectivity on mobile equipment including AGVs, trolleys, and collaborative robots moving across multiple access point zones. Security is comprehensive, covering WPA3 Personal and Enterprise with IEEE 802.1X RADIUS authentication, WPA2, WEP, MAC filtering, DoS protection, OpenVPN, IPsec, GRE L2 tunnels, and SNMP V3, ensuring the network remains protected in multi-vendor industrial environments. Two redundant Gigabit Ethernet ports provide network resilience, and two pairs of isolated digital I/O channels are controllable via SNMP for remote equipment operation and signal monitoring. Power supply accepts a wide input range from 9V to 48V DC via Phoenix connector or PoE 802.3af, and the compact housing supports wall or DIN rail mounting with operation from -20°C to 60°C. Centralised administration and configuration management is provided via ACKSYS WaveManager software. CE RED, FCC, and E-mark ECE R10 certified.
