DAP847-RWAKKT899EHH – Outdoor Wi-Fi 6 Industrial Access Point by Hirschmann

The Hirschmann DAP847-RWAKKT899EHH is an outdoor industrial Wi-Fi 6 access point from the Dragonfly series, engineered to deliver high-throughput, secure, and manageable wireless coverage in the most demanding industrial and transportation environments. Its dual-radio architecture pairs a 5GHz 802.11ax 4×4:4 radio at up to 2.402Gbps with a 2.4GHz 802.11ax 2×2:2 radio at up to 573Mbps, achieving a combined maximum data rate of 2.975Gbps. A dedicated 1×1 scanning radio runs continuously for background spectrum monitoring, rogue access point detection and containment, and wireless attack detection without impacting client throughput. Seven N-female external antenna connectors — four for 5GHz and two for 2.4GHz — allow flexible antenna placement for optimised coverage across complex outdoor environments. The network port is a 2.5GbE M12 X-coded interface supporting IEEE 802.3bt and 802.3at PoE PD, with an alternative 24/110VDC PSU input. Security covers WPA2 and WPA3 personal and enterprise modes, 802.1X, AES encryption, Captive Portal with Radius Client, white and black lists, ACL, and client sticky avoidance. The software feature set includes auto channel selection, auto transmit power control, dynamic bandwidth selection, band steering, BSS Coloring, client load balancing, wireless MESH P2P and P2MP, DFS, and full SNMP management with trap notification via the DAC software platform. The IP67-rated wall-mount enclosure withstands -40 to +85°C storage and carries EN 50155, EN 50121, and EN 45545-2 railway approvals alongside CE, FCC, and UL/cUL certification.
