tBOX520 – Fanless Railway Embedded System with 12th Gen Intel Core by Axiomtek

The Axiomtek tBOX520 is a fanless embedded system built for railway applications, powered by a 12th Gen Intel Core i7/i5/i3 or Celeron processor (Alder Lake P) with DDR5-4800 memory up to 32 GB, a 24 to 110 VDC railway power input, and certifications including EN 50155 and EN 45545-2. It features dual swappable 2.5-inch SATA drives, 2 x HDMI 4K displays, 2.5GbE LAN, 4 x USB 3.0, and a comprehensive value-added module ecosystem for COM, LAN, DIO, PoE, CAN, and video expansion. Available from Recab, your Nordic partner for Axiomtek transportation embedded system solutions.
Description
The Axiomtek tBOX520 is a fully fanless embedded computer purpose-engineered for railway and demanding transportation environments, powered by 12th Gen Intel Core i7/i5/i3 or Celeron processors (Alder Lake P) in an IP30 aluminium extrusion and heavy-duty steel chassis that operates from -40 to +70 °C with wide-temperature peripherals. The system supports dual-channel DDR5-4800 SO-DIMM memory up to 32 GB, two swappable 2.5-inch SATA drives with Intel RAID 0/1, and an M.2 Key M 2280 NVMe SSD slot, ensuring fast, redundant storage for passenger information systems, onboard recording, or diagnostic applications. Connectivity is comprehensive: 2 x HDMI 1.4b for 4K dual-display, 2.5GbE LAN via Intel I226-IT, 4 x USB 3.0, RS-232/422/485 serial, audio in/out, and 8 antenna openings with M.2 and PCIe Mini Card slots for 5G, Wi-Fi 6, LTE, and Bluetooth radio modules. Power input is provided via an M12 connector accepting 24 to 110 VDC with smart ignition management, over-current, over-voltage, under-voltage, and reverse polarity protection. A rich ecosystem of value-added modules (VAMs) enables field-configurable expansion for isolated RS-232/422/485, CAN bus, isolated DIO, BNC video capture, and up to 8 configurable PoE LAN ports with M12 or RJ-45 connectors. Certified to CE (Class A), FCC, LVD, EN 50155, and EN 45545-2, with EN 61373 Category 1 Class B shock and vibration compliance, the tBOX520 is a highly capable and certified platform for rolling stock, trackside computing, passenger information, and railway surveillance across the Nordic and Baltic regions. Available from Recab, your Nordic partner for Axiomtek transportation embedded system solutions.
