P718O – 18.5″ EN 50155 Open Frame Railway Monitor by Axiomtek

The Axiomtek P718O is an EN 50155-certified open frame monitor purpose-built for railway Passenger Information System installations requiring bright, vibration-resistant, and energy-efficient displays on rolling stock. Featuring an 18.5-inch full HD TFT LCD panel with a 1920 x 1080 resolution at 500 nits brightness, a 178°/178° wide viewing angle, and a 1000:1 contrast ratio, the P718O delivers clear passenger-facing information visibility across the full width of train carriages under varying ambient lighting conditions. Multiple video input interfaces including HDMI, DVI-D, and VGA ensure compatibility with a broad range of on-board computing platforms and media players. The M12 A-coded 5-pin DC connector accepts a wide input voltage range from 24 to 110 VDC, accommodating the diverse power bus architectures found across European and global rail fleets, while the fanless cooling system eliminates moving parts for maintenance-free operation. An RS-232 remote control interface enables integration with train management systems for brightness adjustment and display control without physical access to the monitor. The P718O complies with EN 50155 for railway electronics and EN 61373 Cat. 1 Class B for vibration and shock, qualifying it for installation on mainline and metro rolling stock operating in demanding conditions. Its compact open frame design with VESA 100 x 100 mm mounting and a total depth of 46.2 mm simplifies fitment into panel structures and custom enclosures.
