WISE-4000LAN – IoT Ethernet I/O Module by Advantech

The WISE-4000LAN Series from Advantech represents a newly designed generation of IoT Ethernet I/O modules engineered for modern industrial automation and data acquisition applications. These compact modules deliver versatile connectivity through IEEE 802.3u 10/100Base-T(X) Ethernet and support an extensive range of protocols including Modbus/TCP, TCP/IP, UDP, DHCP, HTTP, and MQTT, enabling seamless integration into existing industrial networks and IoT ecosystems. The series comprises three distinct models to address diverse application requirements. The WISE-4010LAN provides 4 differential current input channels with 12-bit resolution supporting 0-20mA and 4-20mA ranges along with 4 digital outputs. The WISE-4050LAN offers 4 digital inputs and 4 digital outputs with 3000 Vrms isolation. The WISE-4060LAN features 4 digital inputs combined with 4 Form A relay outputs rated for 250VAC at 5A. All models incorporate advanced features including RESTful web API in JSON format for modern application development, HTML5 web configuration interface accessible from any device, and local data logging capability storing up to 10,000 samples with RTC timestamps. The industrial-grade design supports extended operating temperatures from -40 to 70°C, making these modules suitable for demanding environments in manufacturing, process control, building automation, and infrastructure monitoring. Digital inputs support 32-bit counter functionality with frequencies up to 3kHz, while outputs provide pulse output and configurable delay functions. The compact 80 x 98 x 25mm form factor accommodates DIN rail, wall, or stack mounting options. With 10-30VDC power input and reverse polarity protection, the WISE-4000LAN series delivers reliable operation for critical industrial IoT deployments.
