Description
The Concurrent Technologies TR G4x/msd is a 3U OpenVPX single-board computer designed for Size, Weight and Power (SWaP) optimised rugged server applications requiring high processing density in demanding environments. Built around the Intel Xeon Processor D-1500 Family, it is available in 8-core, 12-core, and 16-core variants including the D-1539, D-1548, D-1559, and D-1577 processors, with up to 24 MBytes of cache and support for Intel Advanced Vector Extensions 2 and AES New Instructions. The board supports up to 64 GBytes of soldered dual-channel DDR4 ECC DRAM with peak bandwidth up to 29 GBytes/s, and provides five SATA600 interfaces alongside options for up to two M.2 NVMe flash modules and an onboard Flash Drive Module for operating system storage. Networking is delivered via a 2-port 10GBASE-KR VPX Data Plane interface and a 2-port 1000BASE-BX Control Plane, with optional IEEE 1588 timing support. PCIe expansion is provided through configurable VPX Expansion Plane ports supporting Gen 1 through Gen 3, while system management is handled via IPMI and a Baseboard Management Controller. Security options include TPM 2.0, Sanitization Utility Software, and Secure Boot via UEFI firmware. Air-cooled N-Series and E-Series variants cover operating temperatures from 0°C to +55°C and -25°C to +70°C respectively, with a conduction-cooled RCx-Series also available. The board runs Linux, Windows, and VxWorks and supports long life-cycle deployments across defence, ISR, and tactical communications applications.
