The Kontron KISS 2U V4 ADL is a 2U 19-inch industrial rackmount server designed and tested for challenging environments including high temperatures and mechanical stress, providing robust and sustainable processing performance for industrial applications. Based on 12th and 13th generation Intel Core i9, i7, i5, and i3 processors with four DDR5 DIMM slots supporting up to 128 GB of memory with optional ECC support, the KISS 2U V4 ADL offers considerably more memory and expansion capacity than the 1U variant, targeting more demanding SCADA, MES, high-end image processing, and edge AI and machine learning workloads. Up to six PCIe slots plus one PCI low-profile slot, or three PCIe full-height slots in alternative configurations, accept optional cards including NVIDIA Quadro T1000 graphics and 2x or 10x GbE network adapters. Dual LAN includes 1 GbE and dual 2.5 GbE ports. Rear I/O provides four USB 3.2 Gen1, two USB 3.2 Gen2, one USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C with locking option, four DisplayPort outputs, one RS-232, and audio. Storage includes two front 3.5-inch drive bays, one internal 2.5-inch or 3.5-inch SATA drive, two M.2 2280 PCIe NVMe slots with RAID support, and a slim DVD drive. A 400 W 80+ power supply with optional 550 W redundant PSU, operating temperature of 0 to 50 degrees Celsius, 5000 m altitude rating, and CE, FCC, NRTL, and CB IEC 62368-1 certification with MTBF exceeding 50,000 hours round out the specification for this modular, customisable industrial server platform.
