Description
The Axiomtek MIO710 is a high-performance dual-port 10GbE SFP+ LAN module designed for engineers looking to add 10 Gigabit fibre connectivity to compatible Axiomtek rack-mount network appliances. Powered by the Intel X710-BM2 Ethernet controller, the MIO710 handles both MAC and PHY Ethernet layer functions while also managing PCIe packet traffic across transaction, link, and physical layers for seamless integration into demanding network environments. The module installs via a PCIe 3.0 x8 golden finger interface and is compatible with a broad range of Axiomtek platforms including the NA363R, NA590, NA592, NA593, NA721, NA860, NA861, NA870, NA873, and NA875. Support for Intel VT-c technologies including VMDq and SR-IOV enables efficient virtualisation of network resources across multiple virtual machines, while DDP and DPDK support make the MIO710 ideal for software-defined networking, network function virtualisation, and high-performance firewall applications. Jumbo frame support is included for efficient large-packet transmission. The module operates across a temperature range of 0 to 60°C and features a locking heatsink with fan for reliable thermal management, housed in compact 78.9 x 183.8 x 42.8 mm dimensions. LED indicators for 10GbE (green) and 1GbE (amber) provide at-a-glance link status.
