K3881-C µATX – Industrial Server Motherboard with Xeon and 10GbE by Kontron

The Kontron K3881-C µATX is the first industrial server motherboard designed and built in Germany by Kontron, offering enterprise-grade reliability and security in the compact Micro-ATX form factor at 243.8 x 243.8 mm. Built on the Intel C266 chipset with an LGA1700 socket supporting Intel Xeon 6300 series, Xeon E-2400 series, and Pentium Gold G7400/G7400T processors at up to 95 W TDP, it delivers server-class processing for industrial edge and entry-level cloud deployments. Four DDR5-5600 UDIMM slots support up to 128 GB of ECC memory, with actual memory speed dependent on the processor installed. A custom BMC developed by Kontron enables full out-of-band remote management via ASPEED A2600, supporting Redfish API and IPMI protocols with dedicated management LAN via Realtek RTL8211F, alongside a BMC hardware watchdog and heartbeat, Port 80, and fault LED monitoring. Networking is delivered by two Intel I210AT 1 GbE ports and one Intel E610-XAT2 dual 10 GbE port, with LAN teaming and PXE support. PCIe expansion spans one Gen5 x16 slot for high-performance GPU or acceleration cards, one Gen4 x4 (mechanical x16 with retention), and one Gen4 x1 open slot. Storage includes four SATA III 600 ports, a switchable MCIO slot for four additional SATA or PCIe Gen4 lanes, two M.2 Key-M NVMe slots, one M.2 Key-B with 5G readiness, and one M.2 Key-E for WLAN and Bluetooth. Eight-bit GPIO, one RS-232 rear port, a nano SIM card slot, and 5+ year availability with 24/7 continuous operation approval round out the specification.
