GENE-ARH6 – 3.5″ SubCompact Board with Intel Core Ultra Series 2 by AAEON

The AAEON GENE-ARH6 is a 3.5-inch SubCompact Board measuring 146 x 101.7mm and built around Intel Core Ultra processors from the Series 2 platform, offering a range of processor options spanning the Intel Core Ultra 7 255H at up to 5.1GHz (28W), Core Ultra 5 225H at up to 4.9GHz (28W), Core Ultra 7 255U at up to 5.2GHz (15W), and Core Ultra 5 225U at up to 4.8GHz (15W), enabling engineers to balance performance and power consumption to the specific application requirement. The integrated Intel SoC chipset supports two DDR5 6400MHz SODIMM slots for up to 96GB of non-ECC memory, with dual-channel bandwidth for memory-intensive applications such as AI inference, machine vision, and high-throughput data acquisition. Display output is particularly capable, supporting four simultaneous independent displays via HDMI 2.1 (up to 8K/60Hz), DP 2.0 (up to 7680×4320), LVDS dual-channel 18/24-bit up to 1920×1080, and eDP 1.4b HBR3 up to 3840×2160, with Intel Arc and Intel Graphics rendering. Network connectivity provides triple LAN: 1x GbE via Intel I219 and 2x 2.5GbE via Intel I226, with Intel vPro support available on the Core Ultra 7 265H variant. Serial interfaces include 4x COM ports where COM1 and COM2 support RS-232/422/485 with 5V/12V/RI and COM3/COM4 are RS-232, alongside 2x USB 3.2 Gen 2 external and 4x USB 2.0 internal headers. Storage and expansion include M.2 2280 M-key for PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe or SATA, M.2 3052 B-key for 5G/LTE with nano SIM, M.2 2230 E-key for Wi-Fi 6E CNVi, SATA 6Gbps, 8-bit GPIO, and an FPC2 board-to-board connector supporting PCIe Gen4 x4 x2 with RAID 0/1. The 9 to 36VDC wide-range input supports AT/ATX power, with an MTBF of 753,493 hours and operating temperature from 0 to +60°C.
