The Darveen MC-346 is a purpose-built fanless marine computer engineered for shipboard and offshore automation, navigation, and control applications where rigorous maritime standards, harsh environmental conditions, and reliable long-life operation are essential. The rugged aluminium alloy enclosure and fully fanless thermal design eliminate moving parts and ventilation openings that could introduce moisture and contamination, while the -20°C to +60°C operating range with 0.7 m/s airflow covers the environmental conditions across bridge, engine room, and deck installations. Powered by 13th generation Intel Celeron 7305E, Core i3-1315UE, i5-1345UE, or i7-1365UE processors with DDR5-4800/5200 memory up to 64GB, the MC-346 delivers the processing performance needed for chart display, data logging, sensor fusion, and vessel management software in a compact 216 x 164 x 82 mm wall-mount chassis. The four NMEA 0183 ports (RS-422/485) are the critical maritime interface for connecting GPS receivers, autopilots, depth sounders, AIS transponders, and other NMEA-compliant instruments, while two additional DB9 COM ports (RS-232/422/485) provide general serial connectivity. Four 2.5GbE LAN ports support ship Ethernet networks, and two removable 2.5″ SSD bays with RAID 0/1 and hot-swap capability provide redundant, serviceable storage without powering down. Optional Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth, LTE/5G, GNSS, and CAN2.0B modules expand connectivity for modern integrated bridge systems. IEC 60945, IEC 61162-1/2, and pending IACS E10 certifications confirm maritime regulatory compliance. Available from Recab, your Nordic partner for Darveen marine computer solutions.
