VTX352 – 4-Slot 6U VPX Hardened Chassis with Dual Power Entry by VadaTech

The VadaTech VTX352 is a four-slot 6U VPX hardened chassis designed for conduction-cooled modules in rugged deployed environments. It supports VITA 66.5 for optical connectivity and VITA 67.2 for RF on its configurable backplane, with all I/O accessed via MIL-STD-38999 style connectors. Featuring dual VPX Power Entry Modules and a backplane routable to customer specifications, the VTX352 is suited to defence, electronic warfare, and radar applications requiring a compact, mission-hardened OpenVPX platform. Available from Recab, your Nordic partner for VadaTech VPX chassis solutions.
Description
The VadaTech VTX352 is a four-slot 6U OpenVPX hardened chassis engineered for conduction-cooled modules deployed in the most demanding military and defence environments. All I/O is routed via MIL-STD-38999 style connectors, which can be configured to customer specification, making the VTX352 well suited to applications where sealed, ruggedised connectivity is essential. The current standard backplane design places VITA 66.5 optical interfaces on slot one and VITA 67.2 RF interfaces on slots two, three, and four, with a dual-slot VPX Power Entry Module providing redundant 6U VPX power. The chassis requires external airflow for cooling of the conduction-cooled modules. The backplane can be fully re-routed to customer slot profile requirements, and VadaTech offers integration services including pre-configured application-ready platforms. Physical dimensions are 14.81 inches high, 10.82 inches wide, and 14.59 inches deep, with a weight of 39.5 lbs. Operating to a conduction-cooled environmental class of CC4 (-40°C to +85°C), with storage temperature down to -50°C and vibration tolerance to V3 (0.1 g²/Hz), the VTX352 is designed for land, airborne, and naval platform integration. Connector options include standard 50u gold rugged, KVPX, and high-speed 50u gold rugged types, with conformal coating available. VadaTech holds ISO9001:2015 and AS9100D certifications. Available from Recab, your Nordic partner for VadaTech VPX chassis solutions.
Features
  • Four-slot 6U OpenVPX chassis supports conduction-cooled modules per VITA 48 with all I/O accessed via MIL-STD-38999 style connectors for harsh environment deployments.
  • Backplane supports VITA 66.5 optical interfaces on slot one and VITA 67.2 RF interfaces on slots two through four, configurable to customer slot profile requirements.
  • Dual VPX Power Entry Modules provide redundant 6U VPX power to the system, drawing from standard VPX power module slots for reliable mission-critical operation.
  • Conduction-cooled environmental rating of CC4 covers -40°C to +85°C operating temperature with vibration tolerance to V3 and storage shock to OS2 at 40g.
  • VPX connector options include standard 50u gold rugged, KVPX, and high-speed 50u gold rugged types, with optional Humiseal conformal coating for corrosion protection.
  • VadaTech AS9100D and ISO9001:2015 certified manufacturing supports full integration services and application-ready platform configurations for customer-specific deployments.
