Description
The Kontron K3921-H mSTX is an extended lifecycle industrial motherboard in the compact Mini-STX form factor at 140 x 148 mm, built around the Intel Alder Lake N and Twin Lake SoC platform. Processor options range from the quad-core Intel Processor N100 and N150 at 6 W TDP to the octa-core Intel Core i3 N305 and Core 3 N355 at 15 W TDP, with Kontron’s cTDP feature allowing flexible TDP reduction down to 6 W for fanless thermal designs. A single DDR5-4800 SO-DIMM socket accommodates up to 32 GB of non-ECC memory. Intel UHD Gen12 graphics with Xe architecture drives up to three independent displays: two DisplayPort 1.4a rear outputs, one DisplayPort via USB Type-C front alternate mode, and one embedded DisplayPort V1.4b onboard for direct panel integration at up to 4K resolution. Storage is handled by one M.2 Key-M slot supporting PCIe x1 Gen3 NVMe and SATA SSDs, one M.2 Key-E 2230 slot for WLAN and Bluetooth modules with PCIe and CNVi support, and one SATA 6G port. Intel integrated TPM V2.0, an onboard hardware watchdog, and one RS-232 header provide platform security and serial device connectivity. The dual-range DC input accepts 12 V or 19–28 V externally, with an additional USB-C PowerDelivery sink at 20 V up to 100 W for flexible system integration. Certified to cTÜVus IEC62368-1, CE Class B, UKCA, and FCC-B, and designed for 24/7 operation from 0 to 50 degrees Celsius, the K3921-H is at home in thin client, kiosk, medical terminal, and embedded industrial PC applications.
