The Advantech AOM-2721 OSM 1.1 Computer-on-Module represents a powerful and compact computing solution built around Qualcomm’s advanced QCS6490 and QCS5430 system-on-chip platforms. The QCS6490 variant features a high-performance ARM v8 Cortex Gold Plus core operating at 2.7 GHz combined with three additional Gold cores at 2.4 GHz, while the QCS5430 option provides dual A78 cores at 2.1 GHz and four A55 efficiency cores at 1.8 GHz. Both configurations incorporate 8GB of onboard LPDDR5 memory delivering exceptional bandwidth for demanding embedded applications. The module integrates the Adreno GPU 642L supporting OpenGL ES 3.2 and OpenCL 2.0, alongside the Adreno VPU 633 capable of 4K30 video encode and decode operations, making it ideal for multimedia and vision processing workloads. Connectivity options are extensive, including three PCIe Gen 3.0 lanes with QPS615 switch integration, USB 3.2 Gen1 and USB 2.0 ports, dual Gigabit Ethernet interfaces via RGMII and SGMII, and dual 4-lane MIPI-CSI camera inputs. Display capabilities encompass MIPI-DSI, eDP 1.4, and DisplayPort outputs supporting 1920×1080 resolution at 60Hz.
