Description
The AAEON ICS-6280 is a compact DIN rail or desktop industrial-grade network appliance designed for deployment in harsh environments requiring secure, reliable network routing, filtering, or gateway functions with extended temperature tolerance. Built around the Intel Atom Processor X Series or Intel Pentium/Celeron N and J Series with 2 to 4 cores, the ICS-6280 combines modest power consumption with a fanless thermal solution capable of operating from -40°C to +75°C, making it suitable for outdoor cabinets, harsh factory floors, and transportation infrastructure. Four Intel I210-AT Gigabit Ethernet ports handle primary network connectivity, with an optional dual LAN bypass supporting up to two pairs for inline security deployments where traffic must continue flowing during software failure or device reboot. A single 260-pin DDR4 3200MT/s SODIMM with IBECC (In-Band ECC) error correction provides reliable memory operation even without a dedicated ECC memory controller. Storage is covered by one 2.5-inch SATA SSD bay and a co-located mSATA/SATA III slot, alongside one Mini Card socket with Micro SIM for LTE/5G cellular failover or wireless expansion. Power is provided via dual independent 2-pin Phoenix terminal blocks accepting 9 to 48V DC, allowing redundant power input from two separate sources for maximum uptime in critical infrastructure. Serial connectivity includes two RS-232/422/485 COM ports with COM 2 featuring optical isolation and ESD protection. Display output covers HDMI and VGA for management or monitoring.
