These are small sensor heads with built-in indicator LEDs and up to a 8-mm detecting distance. The series offers sensor heads with diameters as small as 3 mm for the cylindrical type and M5 for the threaded type.
Therefore the EM series sensor is an effective space-saver. The sensor head is half the length of conventional M8-sized self-contained proximity sensors. Because of this the EM series are able to be installed in limited spaces. And thereby broadening its range of applications.
